The 5th Meeting of ECRA Collaborative Programme Sea Level Change and Coastal Impacts (CP SLC) on 11 July 18.00-19.30 in New York was a side meeting of the International Conference on Regional Sea level change**. This meeting intended to discuss strategic developments of the CP SLC and investigate links to related initiatives. Particular topics for the discussion focussed on:
CP SLC Activities: Past and Future
The General Assembly 2017 has been a very successful meeting arena for scientists, politicians and stakeholders. The community agreed to improve the interaction with stakeholders and social scientists in the future. This includes further outreach events addressed to specific stakeholder groups. Next ECRA SCL meeting is planned during the conference ‘Sea Level Futures’ taking place in Liverpool July 2–4th 2018 (https://conference.noc.ac.uk/sea-level-futures-2018).
CP SLC Strategy document
The CP SLC Plan should be advanced and should include tasks related to the previous CP Strategy, including social scientists and services provided to stakeholders. This may include a list of scientists with expertise and possible services to be published on the website. This should be developed in ongoing workshops organised for both, scientists and stakeholders.
